Comcast Call Center, Horsham, PA
Comcast Call Center in Horsham, PA handles all commercial related customer service calls from customers and businesses. In order to satisfy the needs of all of Comcast’s commercial customers, the call center needs to be a state of the art facility, with all of the latest technology. Coming off a successful project at CCAD, IMC Contruction brought this job to Hifi House Commercial AV, and asked us to design and update this call center facility. The main objective of this project was for Comcast to have the ability at a moment’s notice to be able to immediately visualize call statistics and other valuable information from consumers. Rich Diperstein, Director of Sales at Hifi House Commercial AV, reinforces this objective. “It was critical for us to provide the customer will all of the latest technology, without sacrificing any ease of operation,” says Diperstein.
The main call center area will consist of forty 65’’ LCD flat panel displays. These displays will be ceiling mounted, back-to-back, so that the employees will be able to view valuable information from any part of the call center. The source video will be made up of 7 customer statistic computers that will cycle at predetermined intervals, which can be decided by Comcast. This system will be controlled by the latest Crestron wall-mounted touch panels.
The Comcast Call Center facility also contains a large training room, two conference rooms, and 8 manager’s offices that Hifi House Commercial AV designed to operate effortlessly. The training room will have a high resolution ceiling mounted projector, and a 123’’ ceiling recessed, motorized screen. Both an analog and digital video connection will be available as sources. There will also be a high quality audio conferencing system complete with a Crestron touch panel for easy to use control.
The conference rooms will also contain high resolution ceiling mounted projectors, complete with analog and digital video sources. The control in the conference rooms is done via Extron’s simple, wall mounted control panel.
The eight manager’s offices will each be complete with wall mounted 37’’ LCD displays that have the ability to view cable TV as a source, along with any local computer connection.
We also were involved in redesigning the Call Center’s gym and lounge areas. The gym will be complete with three 42’’ ceiling mounted displays, with cable TV as its source. A background audio system has also been installed throughout the gym. The 3 separate kitchen lounges each have a 65’’ flat panel display for viewing of cable TV. Each lounge is also complete with a Nintendo Wii for employees to take a break
during their long day.
